questions about your
first treatment?

We've pulled together the answer to questions we get asked the most about our treatments. If you still have any other queries just get in touch via email us give us a call.

  • Yes, street parking is available; however, depending on the time of day, it may be busy. Another option is Penwortham Tesco, which is a 2-minute walk and free to park.

  • Wear comfortable clothing you can move in. Shorts are ideal for lower-body issues, and a t-shirt or vest works well for upper-body problems.

If you have any recent scans or consultant reports, it’s helpful if these are emailed over prior to your appointment, as this allows more time to focus on assessment and treatment during the session.

  • Yes, I would recommend you check directly with your insurance provider prior to booking to confirm whether you are covered, it depends on your provider and level of cover. If you’re unsure, feel free to get in touch and I can help clarify what information you may need.

  • I work with individuals who want to get out of pain and stay active. You don’t need to be an athlete to benefit from treatment.
    I commonly help people with:
    - Back and neck pain
    - Hip, knee, and ankle pain
    - Shoulder and elbow problems
    - Tendon-related injuries (such as Achilles or hamstring pain)
    - Running, gym, and everyday activity-related injuries

If you’re unsure whether your issue is something I can help with, feel free to get in touch, I’m always happy to advise.

  • Your first session includes a detailed assessment, diagnosis, and treatment where appropriate. You’ll also leave with a clear plan, so you understand what’s going on, why it’s happening, and how we’re going to address it.

  • This depends on the nature of your injury, how long it’s been present, and your goals. Some people improve quickly, while others benefit from longer term structured treatment plan. This will be discussed clearly after your initial assessment.

  • Not necessarily. In many cases, the goal is to modify training rather than stop completely. I’ll guide you on what you can continue safely, what needs adjusting, and how to progress without unnecessary setbacks.

  • No referral is needed. You can book directly.
